Ownership & Funding

BritView.uk is owned and operated by Calpe Press Ltd., a private company limited by shares registered in Gibraltar (company number 129044), with its registered office at Unit 5, The Watergardens, Waterport Road, Gibraltar GX11 1AA. The publication is a general digital news title focused on the United Kingdom, and ultimate responsibility for its editorial direction and financial governance rests with the company’s board and the Editor‑in‑Chief.

Who owns BritView.uk?

BritView.uk is wholly owned by Calpe Press Ltd., a Gibraltar‑registered private company limited by shares. The company is accountable under Gibraltar company law and operates with a clear separation between commercial ownership and editorial decision‑making.

Calpe Press Ltd. does not accept investment or ownership stakes from political parties, government entities, or any organisation that could compromise the independence of the newsroom. The ownership structure is transparent: the company’s register of members is filed with the Gibraltar Companies Registry, and we commit to disclosing any change in controlling interest promptly via this page and our Editorial Policy.

How is BritView.uk funded?

BritView.uk is funded through a diversified revenue model that includes display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and content licensing. No single revenue stream dominates, and all commercial material is clearly labelled to distinguish it from editorial journalism.

Affiliate links are disclosed in accordance with our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure; sponsored content is demarcated as such and governed by our Sponsored Content Policy. We do not accept payment for coverage, and commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions. Revenue is reinvested into the newsroom’s operations, fact‑checking, and editorial technology.

Who is accountable for editorial decisions?

Editor‑in‑Chief Jonathan Crawford holds overall accountability for editorial policy, corrections, publication decisions, source review, and content quality. He can be reached at jonathan.crawford@britview.uk or +44 20 4587 9426 and is the final authority on any editorial dispute.

Day‑to‑day editorial planning is overseen by Managing Editor Rebecca Marsh, while Politics & Public Affairs Editor Thomas Whitmore and Business & Economy Correspondent Amelia Foster lead their respective beats. All editorial staff operate under the standards set out in our Editorial Policy. Readers wishing to raise a complaint or concern may contact the editorial team via our contact page or directly with Mr Crawford.

How do we ensure editorial independence?

Editorial independence at BritView.uk is guaranteed by a contractual and operational firewall between the newsroom and the commercial team. Journalists and editors make all content decisions without input from advertisers, partners, or company shareholders.

Our Sponsored Content Policy explicitly prohibits sponsors from influencing editorial coverage outside their paid placement. The Standards & Fact‑Checking Lead, Oliver Reeves, reviews sensitive stories and ensures that no commercial pressure has been applied. The Editor‑in‑Chief reports to the board of Calpe Press Ltd. only on governance and legal matters, never on the content of specific articles.
