The Samsung Galaxy A05 remains one of the most affordable smartphones available in the UK in 2025. For anyone looking to buy a capable device without spending a lot, this entry-level model from Samsung offers a large display, a sizeable battery, and dual SIM support at a price that rarely exceeds £130.

Zextons offers both 64GB and 128GB variants, though its specific price was not shown in available snippets.
Is Samsung Galaxy A05 Available at Tesco?
Tesco does list the Samsung Galaxy A05 through its online search results, but stock availability at individual stores can be inconsistent. The Tesco product page is accessible via Tesco’s search, though it does not always display clear pricing or real-time stock levels. Buyers may find it more reliable to check Tesco Direct for delivery rather than relying on local store inventory.
What Is the Cheapest Samsung Galaxy A05 Deal?
The cheapest confirmed UK deal is the £89.99 offer on PriceRunner for the 4GB/128GB configuration. That price is the lowest among two stores tracked by the comparison service. International price trackers like Kimovil show the Galaxy A05 globally from around $89 to $104 depending on configuration, which confirms the phone sits firmly in the budget segment, though those figures are not UK-specific. For buyers willing to consider refurbished or marketplace stock, eBay listings can occasionally dip below £85.
What Is the Samsung Galaxy A05 Price at Argos?
Argos lists the Samsung Galaxy A05 on its website, with pricing typically aligned to the £125–£139 range for new units. The Argos product page provides options for home delivery or click-and-collect, which may be useful for those who prefer to inspect the phone before committing. Argos sometimes runs limited promotions that lower the price slightly, so it is worth checking before purchase.
The lowest UK price identified is £89.99 for the 128GB model on PriceRunner. The highest typical new price is around £139. Most independent retailers fall between £100 and £125. Trade-in value via SellMobile reaches up to £35 depending on condition and storage.
What Are the Key Specifications of Samsung Galaxy A05?
The Samsung Galaxy A05 is built around a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD display with a resolution of 720×1600. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. Storage comes in 64GB or 128GB variants, and both are expandable via microSD card. The phone runs Android 13 with Samsung’s One UI Core 5.1 interface on top.
Does Samsung Galaxy A05 Support Dual SIM?
Yes, the Galaxy A05 supports dual SIM functionality. It can hold two nano-SIM cards simultaneously, and connectivity is limited to 4G LTE — there is no 5G support. This makes it suitable for users who want separate numbers for personal and work use without carrying two phones. Both SIM slots are active, and the phone also includes a dedicated microSD slot, so users do not have to choose between a second SIM and expandable storage.
What Is the Storage Capacity of Samsung Galaxy A05?
Samsung offers the Galaxy A05 in two storage configurations: 64GB and 128GB. Both versions come with 4GB of RAM. The 128GB variant is generally recommended because the price difference is small relative to the extra space. Storage can be expanded further using a microSD card of up to 1TB, which is useful for media-heavy users.
Does Samsung Galaxy A05 Come with a Charger?
Yes, the Galaxy A05 includes a charger in the box. Samsung ships the phone with a standard USB-C charging adapter, which supports 25W fast charging. This is a notable inclusion given that many mid-range and flagship models have stopped including chargers. The 5000 mAh battery typically takes around 90 minutes to reach a full charge with the supplied adapter.
How Long Does the Battery Last on Samsung Galaxy A05?
The 5000 mAh battery in the Galaxy A05 is one of its strongest features. For typical daily use — including calls, messaging, social media, and video streaming — most users report getting through a full day and often into the second day on a single charge. Heavy users who play games or stream video for extended periods will still get through a full day without reaching for a charger. The efficiency of the Helio G85 processor helps keep power consumption moderate.
Is Samsung Galaxy A05 Worth Buying in 2025?
For buyers on a tight budget, the Samsung Galaxy A05 remains a solid entry-level option in 2025. Its large display, long battery life, and expandable storage make it practical for everyday tasks. However, the camera performance is average, especially in low light, and the lack of 5G means it is not future-proof for faster networks. The phone competes directly with models such as the Moto G04, Nokia G22, and Xiaomi Redmi 13C, which offer similar specs at comparable prices.
A key consideration is the storage choice. The 128GB variant offers noticeably better value than the 64GB version for a small price increase. Buyers should also decide whether they want a new unit with full warranty, or a refurbished or marketplace model that may save money but come with limited buyer protection.
Warranty terms differ significantly between resellers. Amazon and Argos typically offer standard manufacturer warranty, while marketplace sellers on eBay and Zextons may provide only limited coverage. Always check the return policy before purchasing.
What Is the Difference Between Samsung Galaxy A05 and A05s?
The Samsung Galaxy A05s is a slightly upgraded version of the standard A05. The main differences include a higher-resolution 50MP main camera (same sensor but with improved processing), a 90Hz refresh rate display compared to 60Hz on the A05, and faster 25W charging that is standard on both but better managed on the A05s. The A05s also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which the A05 lacks entirely. The price difference in the UK is usually around £20 to £30.
What Is the Warranty on Samsung Galaxy A05?
Samsung provides a standard 12-month manufacturer warranty on the Galaxy A05 when purchased from an authorised retailer. Resellers such as Amazon, Argos, and iMobile honour this warranty. However, third-party marketplace sellers and refurbished stock may offer only their own limited guarantee. Buyers should confirm warranty coverage before completing a purchase, especially from smaller or independent sellers.
The 128GB variant typically costs only £10–£15 more than the 64GB version but doubles the built-in storage. Given that the microSD slot supports cards up to 1TB, the 128GB model combined with an affordable SD card offers the most flexible setup for the long term.

Its main appeal lies in the combination of a large 6.7-inch display and a 5000 mAh battery, both of which are generous for the price bracket.
