Snow is most likely over Scottish mountains and high ground in northern England this week, but widespread lowland snow remains unlikely before mid-February. The latest snow forecast map shows the best chance of settling snow above 300 m in the Highlands and Southern Uplands.

Where will snow fall in the UK over the next 14 days?

For the coming week, cold north-easterly winds bring occasional snow showers to northern Scotland and the Pennines, with accumulations of 5–10 cm above 400 m. Longer-range models suggest a possible colder spell around 10–14 February, but confidence in lowland snow is low – the snow forecast 14 days ahead remains uncertain. The south and Midlands are likely to stay mostly dry with frosty nights.

What about snow near London, Manchester or the Alps?

Snow near London is unlikely in the next fortnight; any precipitation will be rain or sleet at best. For Manchester, higher ground east of the city (the Peak District) could see 2–5 cm, but the city itself should stay clear.
