Tomorrow will bring a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers across the UK, with the best of the brightness in southern England and heavier bursts in the north-west. Temperatures will feel mild for the time of year, reaching 14–16°C in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Bristol and Brighton, though a brisk south-westerly breeze will make it feel cooler near coasts.

What’s the general outlook for tomorrow?

A weak weather front will push eastwards through the day, bringing patchy rain to western areas first thing. By midday, the rain will become more fragmented, leaving many central and eastern parts dry but cloudy. The far north-west of Scotland and Cumbria could see more persistent rain, while the south-east, including London and Brighton, stays mostly dry with occasional sunny intervals. Winds will be moderate, gusting up to 30 mph in exposed spots, but nothing disruptive.

How will the main cities fare?

In London, expect a largely dry day with cloud breaking for sunny spells by late afternoon. Manchester and Liverpool will see light showers on and off, especially in the morning. Leeds and Bristol will have a similar story – a few spots of rain but nothing heavy. Brighton should stay dry with the best of the sunshine along the coast. For the most up-to-date picture, check the live conditions above.

WindSouth-westerly, 15–25 mph, gusts to 30 mph

Will I need an umbrella tomorrow?

Probably yes if you’re in the north-west or Midlands – showers will be light but frequent. In London, the south-east and East Anglia you can leave it behind, though a jacket is still wise for the breeze.

Is tomorrow a good day for a long walk?

In the south and east, yes – the rain will hold off and temperatures are pleasant. In the north-west and Scotland, choose a shorter route or wait for the afternoon when the worst of the rain clears.

Will the weather affect driving conditions?

Not significantly. A few wet roads in the morning across western counties, but no warnings for flooding or ice. Allow a little extra time if you’re heading over the Pennines or into Cumbria.
