The Gladiator known as Diamond is a standout figure on the BBC revival of Gladiators, but the person behind the name is a British bodybuilder, former footballer, and sports science graduate. Her real name is Livi Sheldon, and she brings a combination of athletic pedigree and striking physical presence to the arena.
Sheldon was born on 18 May 1994 in Worcestershire, England. Standing 6 feet tall, she played football for Worcester City Ladies and even captained the side. Before that, she played on boys’ teams as a child and also competed as a swimmer. Her transition to bodybuilding saw her become a British Finalist in the ‘England Toned Figure’ category, and she now runs a training business called Liv Fit.
Despite her modern debut, Diamond is often compared to Jet, the iconic star of the original 1990s Gladiators, and is sometimes tipped as the “new Jet”. This has led to online confusion about whether Diamond appeared in the original series – she did not. She was born in 1994 and joined the 2024 revival.
